The Croatian movie "On The Other Side" is a story of a series of suspense trilling telephonic conversations between a middle aged nurse vesna and husband zarko. zarko is an ex-serviceman. They are now separated . vesna is lived with her children in Croatian capital city Zagreb. One day Zarko's phone came, but vesna was not interested to talk with zarko.
Zarko continues to call vesna often at night, she tries to remain distant, But she slowly drawn into caring about him again and even considers going to visit him in Belgrade in Croatia. The director Zrinko ogresta's smart directing choices and refined visual style create a sense of anxiety that supports the story line.

This movie focuses on the life of an ex-service man's loneliness and emotional issues that faced the Bosnian war survivors. This film was shown in the panorama section at the 66th Berlin international film festival also this work received a special mention from the Europa cinema label jury. This movie is selected as a Croatian entry for the best foreign language film at the 89th academy award but it was not nominated.
